[11], 2-396, [2] pp. Quarter brown paper over yellow paper boards with gold lettering on the spine. Illustrated with one full-page facsimile of a letter written by Inshta Theamba, Susette La Flesche. La Flesche the head chief of the Omahas in the mid-1800's. La Flesche traveled to Washington D.C. after completing her formal education on the Eastern Seaboard. She was a fierce advocate for her tribe, and influenced Congress to grant the Omaha people a small portion of their ancestral land to keep as theirs. Inshta Theamba made a lasting impression on everyone she spoke to, and was unrelenting in her quest for justice for her people. A small concavity to the spine and a bump to the bottom edge of the rear board; jacket has rubbing and a closed tear to its rear panel with some sunning to its spine panel.
