Fine condition in a Fine dust jacket with Fine translucent glassine over the jacket. Everything is enclosed in the original black stiff paper slipcase, with silver label printed in black. The slipcase is in Very Good condituion, complete with the original full wrap around band (pale blue, printed in black) and with a photo of Brassaï. NO owner's name or bookplate. NOT a library discard. NOT a remainder. Sharp corners. The book is illustrated with 63 full page PARIS BY NIGHT photographs by Brassaï (1899 - 1984), including #7. From a review: "The 7th photo in this book... is a famous work taken from the opposite side of Notre Dame Cathedral at night. The contrast between light and dark is wonderful . I'm overwhelmed with emotion that this was the place where it collapsed due to a big fire last year... Of course the photo was taken by Brassai, but it's probably him who applied the wonderful processing of Eliogravure." Oversize Hardcover. 10.75" wide by 12.75" tall.
