Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1905 FIRST EDITION HARDBACK, OLD DEERFIELD SERIES. GOOD+ CONDITION. No DJ. 352 pages with 4 pages of publisher ads, bound in light blue decorative cloth. Front board has red lettering and tan design of Indian Boy with bow and dog. Front board has surface wear. Spine faded, with very slight shelf wear all around on edges and corners. Front and back hinge split, but still bound. Slight foxing on fly pages with small 1/2" stain in lower spine area from front fly page to dedication. Frontis with tissue for a total of 7 illustration pages. NO MARKING, INSCRIPTIONS OR LABELS, THIS IS A CLEAN COPY. This book completes the story of the strange adventures of little Stephen Williams, the 10 year old son of Deerfield's minister, who lived over a year alone among the Indians in Northern Vermont and Canada. A brief resume of his story, recounted in "The Boy Captive of Old Deerfield", is given as an introduction to this volume. (I also have this book for sale) THIS IS A TRUE STORY! SCARCE!
