First issue black blind-embossed cloth lettered in gilt with colour pictorial panel reproducing a detail from the frontispiece mounted on the front. A 304-page adventure novel.Free endpapers tanned. Very good indeed in later issue dustwrapper which is good, nicked, chipped and torn, defective at the tail of the spine. On the spine of the dustwrapper is a mark where the price sticker has been; the first issue dustwrapper had a printed price.
