Collates as: a - d + B - KK + a - z + aa - bb (all in 6s). Title page within border representing the Tree of Jesse. Woodcut of Queen Elizabeth I at prayer on verso of title page. Each page printed within intricately detailed decorated border after Albrecht Durer, Hans Holbein, and contemporaries. Ink ownership inscription on ffep. Else fine. A variant imprint of Griffiths 1863/22. Bound in full black morocco by Larkins with marbled endpapers and triple gilt ruled covers. All page edges gilt. Gilt dentelles. Spine with six compartments separated by gilt ruled raised bands. One compartment with gilt title "Queen Elizabeth's Book of Common Prayer" and the remaining compartments decorated with gilt floral motifs. A truly spectacular example of Victorian book production, reportedly imitating Queen Elizabeth's Prayer Book.
