Sobre este item
London; Holden & Hardringham, Ltd., 1920., 1920. Hard Cover. Cheap Edition". Octavo, pp. 252. Publishers' blue cloth with black titles to spine. Spine and edge of upper board sunned. Lacks ffep; leaves toned as usual, otherwise contents clean; no annotation or inscriptions. A Very Good copy. The first reprint of the first published novel by the William Hope Hodgson (1877-1918). The work is written in an archaic style and presented as a real account of events in 1757, with narrator John Winterslow a passenger on the ill fated vessel, "Glen Carrig". Hope Hodgson effectively combines elements of horror, 'lost world' tales and supernatural sea stories to great effect.
