Small bumping to upper front corner; slight fading to edges else a near fine copy in very good dustjacket (corner tips clipped but price intact; chipping to spine head and upper front corner; short closed tear; slight fading to spine). The second volume in the Big Sur Trilogy, the story about one of the last pioneer families in America who lived freely and self-sufficiently in the remote area of central California known as Big Sur. The Trilogy, which began with "The Stranger," spans over 100 years and depicts the hard but rewarding life of three generations of the Zande Allan family. This second installment, about the children of Zande and Hannah Allan, is named after their daughter Blaze who took her headstrong ways from her father and her tender feelings from her mother. (Baird & Greenwood 2135).
