Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1966. First edition. Two-toned cloth in dust jacket; small 8vo. 132 pp. Signed on the title page. His third book other than translations and only novel. Set in Iran where he was a Fulbright lecturer. With a dust jacket by Leo and Diane Dillon, two time Caldecott Award winners. Some wear on the jacket at the head of the spine, with a tiny chip loss on the back at the gutter, otherwise just light shelfwear.
