Trubner & Co, 1880. Book. Fair. hardback. 1st Edition. hardback, octavo, blue cloth lettered gilt to spine, black vignette to the upper board, brown endpapers. Rubbed to the extremities, loss at head and foot of spine and with a 2" split at the foot of the lower joint. The binding remains tight, previous owner details to the recto of the portrait frontis, the body of text is unmarked. Folding map has a large cellotaped repair. lvi + 320pp.
