A scarce edition of this Welsh translation of the Holy Bible featuring both the old and new testament. Beautifully illustrated throughout with twenty-nine coloured plates complete with tissue guards, and four family registers. Collated presumed complete. Plates depict various scenes such as "The Temptation", "The Finding of Moses", "Saul and the Witch of Endor" and "Daniel in the Den of the Lions". All printed by publishers Adam and Co Limited. Includes the book of Genesis, Job and Malachi from the Old Testament, and the book of Matthew, Colossians, and Revelation from the New Testament. Copperplate ink inscriptions to "Deaths" family register page, dated 1892 and 1903. Bound in original decorative calf binding with brass extremities with hinges. Externally, a trifle rubbed with front board held by the cords only, and shelfwear to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with light scattered spotting throughout and some marks to pages. Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
