This issue is from the late '70s era when the Barb had evolved into a quality paper with (mostly) serious journalism afoot. Cover on San Francisco private eyes, with an article on classic detective novels, a review of the 1978 version of the "The Big Sleep," an interview with a private detective, and an interview with Margo St. James (who was a private eye in addition to a sex worker and activist.).
