Illustrations from "The History of the Novel in England", by Robert Morss Lovett and Helen Sars Hughes. Handsome burgundy cloth with gilt titles to front and spine is spotless, with faint wear to spine head and heel and lower corners; sewn binding is tight, solid and square. Internals quite clean, no marks of any kind. Jacket has wear to corners and spine head and heel, a tiny scuff to the fold-over edge, three small closed tears to edge. 75 pages. 5.8 x 8.25 inches. 1952, Bobbs-Merrill Company, Indianapolis, Indiana
