Map of Bell Ranch, Inc. on rear free endpaper. Rear pocket includes two maps of Bell Ranch, Inc. (two copies of the map titled "Pablo Montoya Grant") and a 1992 newspaper clipping concerning ranch developments. Number 136 of an edition limited to 250 copies. Signed on the title page by George F. Ellis, Mattie D. Ellis, illustrator Robert Lougheed, with a sketch of a cow, and historian Donald R. Ornduff. In the brown slipcase which repeats the cover signature and illustration. The Bell Ranch near Tucumcari, New Mexico is a national landmark and one of the largest privately owned ranches in the US, originating in a Mexican land grant of 655,468 acres.
A handsome, well-preserved copy of this lavish treatment of the historic enterprise.
