Sobre este item

Tuscon, AZ: University of Arizona Press, 1987. First? Edition. First? Printing. very good, very good. Michael McCurdy. 318, illus. An account of ranch life in Arizona's Arivaca Valley. The author lived most of her life in Arizona; she inherited the family ranch in 1933 and owned and worked it ever since. The granddaughter of a Harvard educated physician who came to the Territory in the 1860's, she was the firstborn child of a Mexican mother and an Anglo father who instilled in her an appreciation for both cultures. Eva Antonia Wilbur Cruce lived a life that was "rawhide tough and lonely" at the turn of the century.
