New York: Random House, 1959. First printing. Hardcover. Near fine/good. Gilt, green and maroon stamped brown cloth boards in dust jacket, octavo, not illustrated. Book has handsome boards showing only mild wear to edges, binding tight, text clean and unmarked. DJ has chipping to bottom front corner, rubbing, toning and soil that includes a cup ring to rear panel, bottoms of each flap hinge cracked, now in archival mylar wrap.

Sinopse

The Baron in the Trees (1957, Il Barone Rampante) is an Italian novel by Italo Calvino. A metaphor for independence, it tells the adventures of a boy who will spend the rest of his adventurous life up in trees.
