Spine somewhat sloped. Joints and extremities rubbed with some loss of cloth. Rear endpaper cracking along hinge. Minor insect damage in upper right corner of first dozen pages, one of which has a short tear repaired with a piece of adhesive paper tape. Paper remnants of old bookplate or label inside front cover. Faint waterstain on bottom of some leaves. No jacket. Fiction about Banjo, an African American, in Marseilles (France).
Sinopse
Lincoln Agrippa Daily, known on the 1920s Marseilles waterfront as “Banjo,” prowls the rough waterfront bistros with his drifter friends, drinking, looking for women, playing music, fighting, loving, talking about their homes in Africa, the West Indies, or the American South, and about being black.
