Sobre este item

Gordonsville, Virginia, U.S.A.: St Martins Pr, 1987. Book. Collectible-VG. Hardcover. Signed by Author(s). First Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Signed boldly by the author on a 4 1/2 x 6 inch card laid in loosely, not inscribed to anyone, The book itself is not signed. True first edition stated with the full and correct number string on the copyright page. Shilts wrote for the San Francisco Chronicle and was the author of The Mayor of Castro Street, about Harvey Milk. Recent studies seem to debunk Shilts premise that Gaetan Dugas, a flight attendant was "patient zero." Very Scarce Signed! Tight and clean, the DJ is unclipped. Previous owner note neatly on the back of the front endpaper. Very Collectible condition..

Sinopse

And the Band Played On: Politics, People, and the AIDS Epidemic is a nonfiction book written by San Francisco Chronicle journalist Randy Shilts, published in 1987. It chronicles the discovery and spread of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) with a special emphasis on government indifference and political infighting—specifically in the United States—to what was initially perceived as a gay disease.
