Sobre este item
Christopher Blackett Robinson was a Pioneer Canadian publisher, writer and editor. Robinson was born in Thorah, Upper Canada, in 1837. After editing and publishing the BEAVERTON POST, he moved to Toronto where he published the CANADA PRESBYTERIAN. In 1883 he co-founded a new journal entitled THE WEEK with Goldwin Smith, which took up the work of the defunct CANADIAN MONTHLY. Until it ceased publication in 1896, THE WEEK was the main vehicle for the work of the Confederation poets and essayists of the period. Robinson died in Ottawa in 1923.
