London: The Athlone Press, 1962. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine/fine. 181p octavo, A fine copy in a fine dust jacket. Inscribed "For Robert McCully with great appreciation Paul Seligman Oct 28, 74" in an aged hand. Years later McCully has written a 9 line statement below Seligman's inscription recounting their evening together " In remebrance of a lovely dinner & evening in Toronto in 1972 with Professor Seligman & Professor Robbie Davis (sic) (Robertson Davies) author of "The Manticore" - the Former a genuine scholar and exquisite gentleman, the latter an urbane man with genuine literary talent- guests of James Shaw our polished host." Laid in is a separate publication of an article by Seligman "a New Look at Buber's Philosophy of Man and God" 8p fine in wraps "Studies in Religion IV 2 (1974" inked in Seligman's hand.
