London: Marcus Ward & Co, 1879. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. With Illustrations". From series "The Illustrated Waverley Novels". Edition and printing not known. In very good dark green bevel edged cloth boards, with blind stamped ruled and decorative edges on all sides, gilt circle to front with gilt male head; gilt titles to back strip. The covers are very clean, straight and firm. The end papers are foxed and lightly tanned; name and address sticker to front paste down. Slightly age-toned cut edges; tinted brown top edge. The text block is in very good condition, tightly bound and clean except for the prelims and the end page which are lightly foxed. With many b/w illustrations and with attractive head pieces. Thought to be issued without dust jacket. Part of colllectable collection.
Sinopse
Anne of Geierstein, or The Maiden of the Mist (1829) is a novel by Sir Walter Scott. It is set in Central Europe, mainly in Switzerland, shortly after the Yorkist victory at the Battle of Tewkesbury (1471). It covers the period of Swiss involvement in the Burgundian Wars.

Clevedon Community Bookshop, co-operatively owned, opened on 31 December 2011 and now has a general stock of approximately 20,000 books. Our bookshop in Copse Road is open Tuesday to Sunday from 11.00am to 4.00pm. The co-operative comprises just over 600 members from around the world and was set up to stop the only second-hand bookshop in our town from closing. The benefit of being a member/shareholder is only social: no-one benefits financially. All profits are used to improve the bookshop and its stock, and, through events, to contribute to the literacy and literary profile of our town.
