Sobre este item

New York: Coward-McCann, 1938. First Edition . Hardcover. GVG. 232 pp. Illustrated with 6 color plates, and hundreds of black and white photographs and drawings by the author. Includes bibliography and index. Harbeson pioneered modern needlework in the United States during the late 1920's and the 1930's. Her commissions included the National Cathedral in Washington DC. Her work was collected by museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. This book ends with her prediction that the fiber arts would take their place as fine art, which has turned out to be true! Blue cloth with gilt titles. Spine faded, and boards gently bowed, textblock is clean and tightly attached in the case.
