Sobre este item

London: Faber and Faber, 1965. Bound in the publishers maroon cloth with bold gilt title lettering to spine. The 76 pages remain in excellent condition with no inscriptions and are squarely bound. The binding is fresh with no marks or fading. To the rear of the book there are four excellent black and white photographs from the first transalated production of the play in Hamburg. Housed in the distinctive dustwrapper which portrays a black and white photograph of Werner Hinz as Nero to the front panel taken from the first transalated production of Acte in Hamburg in November, 1961. To the rear are several reviews of Lawrence Durrell's previous works. The dustwrapper still retains the publishers printed price of 15s net to the bottom of the front inside flap. Very slight wear to the edges, otherwise the dustwrapper is in near fine condition. Placed in a protective plastic sleeve to preserve its present condition. A very attractive book throughout.. First Edition. Fine/Near Fine. FIRST EDITION.
