Page edges a bit browned and marked but reasonably clean for age, some tanning to catalogue pages at rear of book. Black cloth binding, red label and gilt lettering to spine. A crease and a discoloured patch to spine with library reference number written in gold pen. A little scuffing and slight marking but quite clean, some signs of shelf-wear, slightly bumped corners. Binding firm. Page edges a little browned, marked and scuffed. Parliament and Politics in Late Medieval England by J.S. Roskell in three volumes.Hardback, first edition, 1981-3, published by Hambledon Press, London.Each volume has its dust jacket. Some discolouration to jacket spines and wear at edges. The first two volumes are ex-library books and have typical stamps, markings, label remnants, etc. Boards and spines show a little shelf-wear but generally very clean - the first volume's spine has a small library sticker but otherwise there are only a few small marks to the boards of each volume. Bindings firm. Page edges a little marked and the first two volumes contain library stamps. Page edges tanned, especially third volume. Page surfaces are very clean, with no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information. A nice set.

In decent condition for age, clear marking and discolouration to spine and boards with wear noticeable at top and bottom of spine. Bumped corners. Gift inscription on front pastedown. Binding strained in place, part of textblock towards middle of book loose, though still attached. Hinges holding. Browning/foxing to page edges and to page surfaces. Page edges deckled, showing signs of having been cut at some point to separate them. Otherwise clean apart from the odd mark here and there, with no underling, marginalia, etc.
