String bound without wraps as issued. Jarvis was the first historiographer of the Episcopal Church. This is a rare copy of his privately printed account of his resignation as rector of St. Paul's Church over the issue of pew rents. It was an important precedent on the handling of disagreements between the vestry and clergy.

A nice memento from the Schneller Orphanage, also called the Syrian Orphanage, which was a German Protestant orphanage that operated in Jerusalem from 1860 to 1940. It was one of the first structures to be built outside the Old City of Jerusalem and paved the way for the expansion of Jerusalem in the 19th century.
