Dr. Miles Medical Company, Elkhart, Indiana. 1902 Die-cut advertising standing counter-top sign plus five dresses and hat made circa 1902. Advertising on the front side reads: "I Talk for Dr. Miles' Heart Cure." At the base of the display: "Copyrighted by Dr. Miles Medical Co. 1902." The verso of each item has printed advertising for the medicine. The standing display measures 21 X 9 inches. Good plus condition overall. We show each item to better define condition and have left the tabs showing. Standing Display of Katrina Knickerbocker has several creases near top of head and neck and at base but overall, the cardstock remains strong. Folding stand on back remains intact but glue has dried at top end. Hat in very good condition. Interior is very clean except for one small smudge on fore edge of first two pages. Blank envelope is tipped in inside front wrapper and contains 1935 price list and promotional letter on company letterhead. Very Good condition. Full color sample catalogue for Joseph Hoover & Sons Co. advertising blotters for 1935. Many of the samples are examples from previous clients. All are printed on the leaves, no tipped in samples.

Blue boards with title in gilt on cover and spine, faux marbled endpapers, all edges gilt, tight binding, clean interior. One of 2,500 copies, limited edition, reprint of 1931 edition. Illustrations throughout. Fine condition. A chronicle of the author's wanderings on the north side of the Alaskan Range, surrounding and including Mount McKinley. His knowledge of the area is extensive. Fording wild rivers and climbing mountains, his enthusiasm for the area is captured here.

Joliet, Illinois, 1949. Collection of 24 Letters from Illinois State Prison (Joliet, Illinois) Inmate Ray Stephen White (Inmate #24588) to Rev. Newton Nesmith, Poplar Grove, Illinois 1947-1949. Letters in very good condition except for the oldest letter which has edge wear and small tears with minimal content loss. All letters on lined prison stationary plus decorative sheets for Thanksgiving and Mother's Day. All letters legible. Letters are marked as 'Censored' yet we find no redactions. Very good condition. Interesting and intriguing set of letters from an inmate in the Illinois State Prison at Joliet to his Reverend, 1947-1949. Ray Stephen Winter was serving 2-4 years for "assault with attempt to rob". The letters are all to the Reverend Newton Nesmith of Poplar Grove, Illinois and later Sandwich, Illinois. Winter left behind a wife and at least one child and with another on the way. Vertical fold at middle. Not colored. Will ship with matting. Watermark difficult to discern. Detailed map of Santa Domingo, Puerto Rico, and nearby islands. Includes topographical detail with many place names. Includes Eastern Bahamas. Extracted from Bonne's Atlas Supplement which was published in Paris in 1787. Rigobert Bonne (1727-1794) was an influential French cartographer of the late-eighteenth century.

[Isle of Wight] Vernacular Photo Album Filled with 99 Precious Images of an English Family 1909-1911 Three-quarter leather over green cloth commercial photo album sold by the Woollings Store in Sandown, Isle of Wight, England. 5 9/16 x 7 3/4 inches. Light rubbing. Binding fully intact albeit slightly loosening. Photo are 2.5 x 3.5 inch snapshots all slipped into sleeves and fully removable. Album is completely full of 96 photos plus three loose photos laid in. Majority of photos have excellent exposure and sharpness. 8 to 10 photos are fuzzy. Very Good Condition. Really enjoyable family album from the Isle of Wight. All of the photos examined are annotated and dated on back, however we only removed a dozen or so as we did not want to damage the album or the photos. Locales noted include Sandown, Waymouth, Portland Harbor and Carisbrooke. The Bruntsfield House and Greenhill House are identified as is the Newport Cemetery and Mount Joy Cemetery.
