Covers have a touch of marking only. Now protected with plastic cover. Inside are large coloured pictures with a paragraph of text below each. The Cornebuse Brothers build a wonderful flying machine / aircraft, and go on adventures in it. Unpaginated - 32 pages including title. A wonderful French children's adventure. Los Angeles: Cinubia, 1996. A lovely copy of this first edition. Clean and tidy blue dust wrapper over blue embossed boards. 160 pages. 31 pages of text (in German) followed by 120 pages of black and white photographs published by Manfred Heiting of Cinubia on high quality glossy photopaper. With an essay by Holger Tiedemann. Keetman was a founding member of the avant-garde photography group fotoform and played a decisive role in determining the direction there so called subjective photography took. In the exhibition Subjective Photography put together by Otto Steinert in 1951 and in the accompanying photobook, Keetman's works have a formative role. From 1948, Keetman was represented with pictures in all major German and some international photo magazines. His work series Eine Woche im Volkswagenwerk (Volkswagen: A week at the Factory), which he photographed in 1953 in Wolfsburg, became particularly well known. Romantic edition in 3 volumes of the Bible in the translation of Maistre de Sacy, adorned with inset plates engraved on steel by Peronard, Lalaisse, Skelton, Desjardins, etc. Text elegantly framed in a bold and thin black triple rule. 304, 647, 620 pages. The 54 pages at end are introduced by separate title. Additions to the second dialogue of the doctor and student, containing thirteen chapters on the power and jurisdiction of the Parliament, & c. Board rubbed and slightly more at corners. Inside a good, clean copy with no markings. Front hinge is loose, but still holding well. Paris: Librairie de L. Hachette, 1861. Very nice copy of this first edition. Contemporary half leather binding with gilt decoration and five raised bands. Blue marbled boards, with just a little rubbing to these. Owner's bookplate to the inside front board. Original pale green wrappers bound in (these a little marked and dirty but still presentable). With 450 vignettes by G. Doré, Foster, etc. in black and white, in and out of text. Beautiful copy Copy with rich iconography. 634 pages. 240 by 160mm (9½ by 6¼ inches). . Boards only lightly rubbed. Neat gift inscription to half-title page. Pages a little age toned, and some foxing to first and last few, but overall in good condition. viii, 175 pp. 106 plates (16 of which are in colour). 295 x 205 mm (11½ x 8 inches).

A limited edition print by Dutch figurative painter Kees Salentijn. Colourful parrot numbered # 59 of 120; on rag paper. Signed by the artist. The image is sized 240 x 170 mm (9½ x 6¾ inches). It is held behind passe partout and in an aluminium glazed Barth frame. The item is sold in the frame. Total size: 335 by 300 mm (13¼ by 11¾ inches). Beautiful condition. Frame is also in excellent condition. Kees Salentijn was born in 1947, and attended the Rijksacademie voor Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam with O.B. Kat as his mentor.

London: BLP Bogle L'Overture Press, 1992. Very nice copy of this soft back first edition. Clean and tidy pictorial covers. Compiled and edited by Salkey, this is full of folk stories of the caribbean. Black and white illustrations accompany the stories. 136 pages. 205 by 130mm (8 by 5 inches) . Auckland: Richards / Collins, 1980. A stunning collection of 34 full page colour portraits, each with a brief biography of the subject on the facing page. The end-papers feature detailed drawings of each intricate tattoo. First edition in unclipped dust jacket. 96 pages. 335 x 245 mm (13¼ x 9¾ inches). Dust jacket and book are both in a very good condition. The clear removable plastic protective cover had sadly been secured by sticky tape, over time some of the residue has transferred to the endpapers (this is shown in the photographs). The portrait artist Harry Sangl created these works of art after seeing a centenarian Maori woman with a moko (chin and lip tattoo). He undertook a three-and-a-half year journey around the North Island of New Zealand during the 1970's, looking for the last remaining Kuia (Maori women) with such decorations. They were both fellows of King's College, London. Hardback, in dark blue with gilt title to spine. Saurat has also made some corrections and annotations in 1943, and marked them in the pages and dated them. Boards are a little grubby and bumped, but inside is good - aside from Saurat's markings. 319 pages. 230 x 160 mm (9 x 6¼ inches).
