An association copy, with a dedication by the author to one Fred Clarke, 'To my dear Friend Fred Clarke, with Happy reminiscences of fogs and clams, lectures and Henry Munns.' The inscription is dated Feb 21, 1936. Edwin John Dove Pratt was a leading Canadian poet, who lived most of his life in Toronto. He was award winning, having earned the accolade of 'Governor General's Award' for poetry. This poem is a retelling of the well-known tragedy, the sinking of the RMS Titanic.
